Art College Portfolio Preparation
Champion Art offers an Art Portfolio Preparation Program for freshmen or transfer college application. It is a tough process for students who make the choice to pursue a major in Visual Arts, Design or Animation. Not only you have to go through the academic admissions requirement, you also need to complete and submit a competitive portfolio of your creative art work. For most university art programs and private art schools, your portfolio will play a determining factor in your admission. Portfolio requirements have become more extensive in the last few years. Portfolios should include finished drawings, both in color and black and white, using a combination of wet and dry media. Also, drawings must demonstrate the ability to draw from direct observation (still life & figural). Portfolios must also exhibit style and present the viewer with a sense of cohesion. Our staff work individually with each student in the full development from concept to technically excellent portfolio. The process includes all aspects of support in the entire college application, not only the portfolio preparation, also including consultations, essay writing, application forms, and communication with colleges, for internationally students, we also provide SAT test preparation.
In our Art Portfolio Preparation program, we will help you to meet the school’s particular portfolio requirements. Students past and current work will be assessed by the instructor in an individualized session. Next, students will begin working, once a special checklist has been determined, relative to the needs of the school's requirements. Students can create new artworks or bring artwork that needs to be improved to portfolio-ready quality.
We have two sessions each year:
Spring Session from January to May
Fall Session from September to December
